    1891 Census: Age 87, Living with daur in law Alice (32) and her family at 41 Lower Cliff Road, Gorleston. RG12/1496/40/13

Thomas MORLEY [Parents] was born 29 Apr 1802 in Gorleston, Suffolk and was christened 9 May 1802 in Gorleston, Suffolk. He died BET 1825 AND 1834. Thomas married Elizabeth LEGGETT on 1 Sep 1822 in Gorleston with Southtown, Suffolk.

Thomas was employed Mariner.

    1871 Census: Widow, Occupation is Castermonger, living in Hamilton Terrace, Steynton, aged 50 with Daur Emma age 15 birth Steynton
    1881 Census: RG11/5415/32, Widow, Occ is Pauper, Dartmouth St, Steynton, Age 58,  with unmarried daughter Emma (26)
    1891 Census: RG12/4533/35/17, Widow aged 68, birth Priory, Living 14 Dartmouth St, Steynton with G-son, George Taylor (6)

    1901 Census: 70 Bells Marsh Road, Gorleston.  Boarder Robert Childs (32) also resident. RG13/1814/73/10

    Possibly a Gorleston lifeboatman ?  Maybe even the Coxwain ?

Alice Mary CHILD was born about 1861 in Gorleston, Suffolk. She married Thomas MORLEY on 1883.

    Birth cert says Jacob Philip but census records note him as Philip.

    1901 Census: Bricklayer Journeyman living at 3 Police Station Lane, Gorleston

Agnes BARBARA RACKHAM was born about 1872 in Gorleston, Suffolk. She married Jacob PHILIP MORLEY on (Oct-Dec 1895) in Gt Yarmouth, Norfolk.

    Birth cert says Jacob Philip but census records note him as Philip.

They had the following children:


Thomas MORLEY was born estimated 1775. He died 1847. Thomas married Susanna WOODROW.

Thomas was employed Grocer/Fishmerchant.

    This is my best guess at the moment.  The 1841 census records on my main site have a Thomas Morley that could be this person.
    I suspect that Susanna died before 1816 (possibly during the birth of daughter Caroline in 1815)  when Thomas appears to have re-married to Nancy (or Ann ?) James – this marriage resulting in children Richard (b. 1818) and Eliza (b. 1819).  This is based on some parish records, census info and other on-line family trees.  If anyone can shed any light on this then please get in touch

Susanna WOODROW married Thomas MORLEY.

Henry LEGGETT [Parents] was born 21 Mar 1778 in Gorleston, Suffolk and was christened 19 Apr 1779 in Gorleston, Suffolk. He died 28 Jul 1831 in Gorleston, Suffolk. Henry married Sarah HERBERT on 13 Dec 1795 in St Nicholas, Great Yarmouth.
